This opportunity sits within a well-established business unit operating across London and the South, delivering a wide range of refurbishment, remediation, retrofit, and building safety projects across both the public and private sectors. Their client base includes local authorities and housing associations, with projects spanning residential, student accommodation, and regeneration schemes.
The business is led by a highly experienced senior leadership team with a proven track record of delivering complex, high-quality projects.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Information Manager to lead and develop a team of Document Controllers and Project Administrators across a portfolio of Building Safety and Fire Remediation projects.
This is a key role responsible for ensuring project information is managed effectively, accurately, and in compliance with company and client requirements. The successful candidate will provide leadership to project support teams while driving best practice in document management, information governance, and digital project delivery.
Roles & responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Document Controllers and Project Administrators
- Establish and maintain project information management processes and procedures
- Ensure all project documentation is controlled, distributed, and archived in accordance with project and regulatory requirements
- Act as the subject matter expert for document control systems and information management standards
- Manage and oversee project Common Data Environments (CDEs), ensuring data integrity and compliance
- Support project teams with information workflows, reporting, and document management best practices
- Drive consistency across multiple Building Safety and Fire Remediation projects
- Produce management reports and KPI data relating to document control performance and project information status
- Liaise with project managers, design teams, clients, and external stakeholders regarding information management requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and team performance
Requirements
Essential
- Previous experience in an Information Manager, Senior Document Controller, Document Control Manager, or similar role.
- Experience managing or supervising Document Controllers and/or Project Administrators.
- Strong understanding of information management processes within the construction, refurbishment, building safety, or fire remediation sectors.
- Advanced experience using Viewpoint 4Projects (4P).
- Strong working knowledge of FieldView.
Desirable
- Experience working on Building Safety, Cladding Remediation, Fire Safety, or Major Refurbishment projects.
- Experience developing document control procedures and team training programmes.
