Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are currently working with a private owned main contractor company headquartered in Central London.
With more than 40 years of experience, they have developed a solid reputation for completing projects in the residential, commercial, hotel, and educational sectors. Having a turnover of over £500 million their project value from £50 million to over £150+ million.
The company has been at the forefront in delivering hundreds of major projects across London and have established a major reputation for delivery of one off iconic major project and large-scale.
They invest heavily in training and development in order to find the skilled craftspeople, project managers and professionals of the future.
The Role
Our client is currently seeking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a £200 million residential scheme consisting of 450+ units over multiple blocks reaching over 30 storeys.
They are looking for a strong Commercial Lead with experience running large scale RC Frame residential schemes.
Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Preparing and managing project budgets and forecasts
- Conducting cost analysis and ensuring financial control throughout the project lifecycle
- Preparing tender and contract documents including bills of quantities
- Managing the procurement process including sourcing and appointing subcontractors and suppliers
- Evaluating and negotiating subcontractor and supplier quotations and agreements
- Administering contracts and ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions
- Monitoring and controlling project costs to maximize profitability
- Preparing and submitting interim valuations and final accounts
- Managing change orders and variations ensuring accurate assessment and timely approvals
- Conducting risk analysis and implementing mitigation strategies to minimize financial exposure
- Liaising with client’s subcontractors and stakeholders to resolve financial and contractual issues
- Ensuring accurate and timely reporting on project financial performance
- Providing leadership and guidance to junior surveyors and team members
- Staying updated on industry standards regulations and best practices
