The Company
We are currently working with a £40+ million turnover main contractor that predominantly operates in Residential, Commercial and Education sectors.
They pride themselves on their quality workmanship as 40% of their work is completed with their own direct labour as this allows them to set the right tone in all our projects.
The Role
Our client is currently seeking to recruit an experienced Estimator to join their team in Kent working on a range of schemes in Residential, Commercial and Education sectors.
Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Analyse project requirements, including plans, specifications, and scope of work, to develop accurate cost estimates
- Collaborate with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for labor, materials, and services
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals for various construction projects, considering all relevant cost factors
- Review and analyse vendor and subcontractor proposals to determine cost competitiveness and accuracy
- Assist in developing pricing strategies and value engineering solutions to optimize project budgets
- Participate in project meetings to provide insights on cost-related matters and assist in making informed decisions
- Maintain a structured database of historical project cost data for reference and future estimation accuracy
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and cost factors affecting construction
