We are currently collaborating with a Surrey based family owned main contractor with a rich history spanning 80 years, delivering projects throughout London and the southeast.

With a turnover around £50 million, they offer services in frameworks, refurbishment, design and build and traditional build contracts valuing between £1 million and £20 million.

The Role

Our client is currently seeking to recruit a Project Manager/Senior Site Manager to work on a complete internal refurbishment of a dormitory.

They are looking for a someone with fit out/refurbishment experience or someone with good all round experience.

Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Create detailed project plans, defining scope, goals, and deliverables

• Allocate resources effectively, balancing labour, equipment, and materials needs

• Prepare comprehensive project budgets, including cost estimates for materials, labour, and overhead

• Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring favourable terms and adherence to project specifications

• Identify potential risks early in the project and develop mitigation strategies

• Oversee day-to-day activities on the construction site, ensuring adherence to plans and schedules

• Coordinate the work of various trades and subcontractors, ensuring smooth and efficient operations

• Manage site logistics, including the delivery and storage of materials, and ensure the availability of necessary equipment

• Implement and oversee quality control measures, ensuring work meets project standards and specifications

• Lead and coordinate the project team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment

• Ensure team members have the necessary training and support to perform their roles effectively
