Business Development Manager

The Company
We are currently working with a well established main contractor that specialises in CAT A and CAT B commercial fit out schemes across London and the Southeast.
Established 15 years ago, the company started as a traditional route main contractor, but they have rapidly expanded and have gained extensive cross sector experience across commercial interiors, mixed use and residential developments.
Since starting the business, they have developed several different workstreams including Turnkey, Small works, Traditional Refurbishment and enabling.
Project examples:
- Full reconfiguration of 8,000 sq ft office space with bespoke joinery and associated M&E works. Value: £1.5 million
- Refurbishment and CAT B fit out of 80,000 sq ft office completed on a design & build basis. Value: £7.5 million
- Extensive refurbishment of grade II listed property in West London spanning over 10,000 sq ft. Value: £1.5 million
The Role
Our client is currently seeking to recruit a Business Development Manager to join their team in West London.
As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving business growth by developing a network of contacts to attract new clients, research new market opportunities and oversee growth projects, making sales projections and forecasting revenue, in line with projected income.
Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Creating comprehensive development plans and projecting sales targets along with growth forecasts
- Analysing financial data to prepare projections that support decision-making
- Identifying opportunities in the market through networking, meetings, and attending industry events such as exhibitions and conferences
- Building and nurturing relationships with current and potential clients
- Participating in sales meetings and delivering impactful presentations
- Collaborating with colleagues to formulate effective sales and marketing strategies
- Ensuring alignment across the team on goals and strategies
- Providing detailed reports to management on progress and results
- Reviewing and analysing sales targets to monitor performance
