Our client is a main contractor that provide services including New Builds, and Refurbishments across the UK to a Commercial, Healthcare, Heritage, and Education sectors.
They have been established for more than 30 years and have generated a reputation for high quality finishes. They deal with a lot of repeat business with their extensive list of high-profile clients, with project typically exceeding £10 million in value.
The Role
Our client is currently seeking to recruit an Assistant M&E Project Manager to play an important role in supporting the planning, execution, and completion of projects involving mechanical and electrical systems. This role is essential in ensuring that projects meet technical specifications, stay on schedule, and remain within budget.
Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Assist in design development of mechanical and electrical systems
• Help prepare and review project documents, including blueprints and specifications
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders
• Assist in developing detailed project schedules and timelines
• Help allocate resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials
• Monitor project budgets and track expenditures
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance
• Assist in implementing quality control procedures
• Support the implementation of health and safety protocols on-site
• Provide technical assistance to resolve issues during construction
• Assist in the testing and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems
• Maintain clear and effective communication with project stakeholders
• Prepare regular project status reports
• Organize and participate in project meetings
• Maintain accurate records of all project activities
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations
• Assist in training project team members on M&E procedures and safety protocols
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
